Realm of the Bear
Yesterday I visited Southern Wood, in the very beautiful Doone Valley on Exmoor. Sometime in the 1970’s ( possibly 60’s ) part of a Bear skull was found there. Brown Bears disappeared from Britain around 500 AD. Recently, I’ve been doing some detective work to try and find out what happened to it, but so far I’ve drawn a blank. I love trying to solve mysteries like this.

I’m heading off to Exmoor Nat. Park tomorrow, and whilst I’m there I’m going to be involved with events for both. I’m really looking forward to it. Shame about the weather though!
